Mummy Mordheim - RIP

Last weekend former Warlord Will Bailey and myself, decided to delete our old Mummy Mordheim Yahoo Group as it was no longer serving any purpose. This group was setup by Will to be a home for our Mummy Pulp games. As Will decided to leave New Zealand about three years ago we were not able to progress the story any further.

I had a look at the old photos on the group and decided that they were no longer worth saving as Yahoo seemed to have shrunk them. Unfortunately I think I may have lost the originals as well when my old computer died so am going to re stage some of the events. I have also sold off my GW Undead Egyptian Army which was used for the games and have only painted up a few replacements so this will be an inaccurate portrayal.

The film crew
The Pyramid

My set of characters were based on the Mummy series of films but more of a family group lead by Archaeologist Professor Percy Cooper (top centre), his daughter Rosemary Cooper (on horse) and son Alfred Cooper (2nd from right). They were accompanied by Terry Mclean, Alfred's batman (3rd from right) Alli Bin Mustafa Egyptian Professor (5th from right) and Captain Jefferson Sanders (to the right of Rosy) with his bodyguard of former US Soldiers.

What follows is a walk through of an entry to a Pyramid.

Percy supervises the entry attempt while a strange old local warns him of dire consequences.
Entry is gained but the first worker is crushed by two balls of rock crushing him.
2nd worker attempts to find way in.
2nd worker falls through trapdoor which opens doorway into top chamber and reveals stairs.
The party files deeper into tomb too eager to worry about losing a few workers.
Percy watches the death struggle of the 2nd worker being eaten by Tomb beetles with some interest.
Percy examines some archifacts while the party fans out to explore.
Meanwhile as everyone is distracted two Mummies seize Rosy from an unobserved doorway.
While the party are trapped in the Tomb chamber a ceremony is taking place in the cavern beneath. Priest Set-tee is trying to reincarnate his bride Sof-farr using Rosy as a sacrifice.
The Archaeologists break through the doorway to attempt to rescue Rosy.
The Americans break in by an entrance lead by the strange old local.
Overhead view of the fight in the cavern.
General view of the cavern fight.
Afterwards a party to celebrate the safe return of Rosy and the success of the dig.
Reinforcements arrive for the next adventure. Armoured Cars; Ying Tong, Tiddle and I-po.

I am turning off comments for now as a certain Peter Smith has been spamming me endlessly, and it's wasting my time moderating it. I hope that does not put off genuine commentators who may want to comment later.
